Benny Dayal is an incredibly talented Indian Bollywood and Pop singer from Mumbai, who comes originally from the state of Kerala in South India.
Born and brought up in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he was trained as an Indian classical dancer and musician, his influences span from Carnatic and Bollywood music to Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Pharell Williams and many more.
Benny Dayal was first noticed during a talent show organised by Sony Music. After winning the contest in 2011, he started touring with his band, Funktuation. Their music is a mix of Alternative funk, Alternative Pop, Disco, Soul and R&B and is loved by fans all across India.
Benny Dayal is an incredibly versatile musician who can sings in 11 different languages: including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati and Bengali. During his eclectic and prolific career, he has worked on film music and independent music alike with producers from both India and the UK and has been part of many music collaborations across different genres.
Similar to Clean Bandit, Benny has the “Open to more” attitude that we love. In music, he loves to experiment and to bring to the studio sounds that have never been heard before and new combinations of music. His band Funktuation’s new EP, is a clear example of that. “Funk-Katcheri” is a Tamil funk album where Indian music meets funk.
One of his biggest hits from Bollywood "Lat Lag Gayee" has achieved around 100 million views on YouTube and "Badtameez Dil" garnered over 65million views.
